Taitaja2020 Jyväskylä event cancelled

Taitaja2020 Jyväskylä event cannot be organized in May because of the Coronavirus situation. This is based on recommendations given by the Finnish Government. This event will be cancelled.

“We regret that we have to cancel the event. About 500 competitors would have taken part in the event, and it is very unfortunate especially from their point of view”, says Pirjo Kauhanen, the principal of Gradia Jyväskylä.

Taitaja competition is Finland’s biggest event in vocational education and training. It gathers tens of thousands of visitors every year.

Skills Finland is the background organization of the event. Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia and its partners have been in charge of organizing the event this year.

The next Taitaja competition will be held in Oulu in May 2021. Skills Finland and Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia have started to investigate the consequences of the cancellation of the event, and they will contact all the partners.
